About
Rooted in Justin
Tomas Mendoza has called Justin home since June 2007. In nearly nineteen years, he has watched this city grow, change, and face the kinds of challenges that come with being a community on the move. He did not move here to run for office. He moved here to build a life, and that decision has shaped everything about the way he approaches public service.
From his earliest days as a resident, Tomas got involved. He showed up to meetings, asked questions, volunteered his time, and listened to neighbors. That pattern has never changed. Whether he is serving on the city council, working as a precinct chair, or knocking on doors as a candidate, his approach is the same: listen first, understand the situation fully, and then act with care and clarity.

A Record Built on Community, Not Politics
“I did not come to Justin looking to lead. I came here looking to belong. What I found was a community worth protecting, and a city that deserves leadership that is honest about the challenges ahead and steady enough to face them together.”
Background and Professional Experience
Tomas holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a Finance emphasis and a Project Management Certificate from UT Dallas. He works as a Senior Technical Support and Escalation Engineer supporting S&P 500 companies, a role that requires clear communication under pressure, careful problem-solving, and a commitment to finding solutions that actually work. He brings that same discipline to public service.
He also holds three black belts in martial arts, a pursuit that reflects his values of discipline, humility, and continuous growth. His leadership style is calm and steady. He does not chase headlines or manufacture conflict. He asks questions, gathers facts, and makes decisions based on what is best for the people he serves.
